News and Randomness Part5

Does anyone else feel like they're getting stabbed in the face by economy? Seriously. Where've my pennies gone? This makes sad. Pink hippos, on the other hand, make me happy. So very happy.

On an unrelated note, I was tagged by enchanting-ce-memory and Nataly1st and sweetestofnightmares, so I'll honour the code (just this once!) and play along. I'm supposed to say 8 things about myself - are you ready for this jelly? Here goes nothing.

1. I don't like talking about myself. Yaaay.
2. My favourite flavour of ice-cream is passion fruit. 'Cause I'm just exotic like that.
3. I keep post-its all over my room so I don't forget stuff, but never remember to read them.
4. I frickin' LOVE broccoli, okay??
5. I have the entire Star Wars Mr. Potato Head collection. Darth Tater, ftw! : D
6. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a street sweeper.
7. I randomly start dancing on the street. Or stores. Or any other public dance-inappropriate place, really.
8. I've been listening to "What Is Love" on a loop for about an hour now. Ah, 80's music. Priceless.

My name is Anna, I'm 19 years old and I currently attend university as a Computer Science student. Because I hate life that much. I have been working with digital art ever since there was a computer within 10 feet of me, but I've only more recently started fiddling around with photomanipulations. I have been a great admirer of that type of art for ages, yet it was only in December '08 that I first tried my hand at my very own photomanip and things went from there. My art, if you can call it that, is done purely to pass the time and to let go of my chaotic reality, thus the fact it is mainly escapist/fantasy-themed. All of my works are done using the GIMP, v2.6. That's right, no Photoshop for me. Because I'm that hardcore.

After a very long battle with my own self-esteem, I decided to join DA, since keeping my works to myself was getting to be a lonely existence. I truly hope to improve my skills in time and I know this great community has just what it takes to help me with that (: To all of you dropping by my gallery, thank you very much for your visit, and to all my friends and watchers, thank you very much for all your support. <3
